Summerville Stables Offers an array of events!

 

We have events for occasions like weddings, clinics, birthday parties, and even camps. All of which can be found below.

-Mark Shaffer - Mechanics in Motion Clinic

Mark will be holding a 3-day clinic at Summerville Stables.

​

His clinic is unique because he meets you and your horse where you are. Mark meets you where you are, whether you are a beginner, advanced, or any stage in between. His unique approach helps better connect you and your horse. The focus is on linking you to the physical communication needs of your horse, timing, and consistency of signals.

Clinic format:

Classroom theory  9:00 to 10:00

Practical application 10:00 to 1:00

Classroom theory  1:00 to 2:00

Practical application 2:00 to 4:00

 

Note: Mark just teaches all day.  He doesn't stop for lunch.

**Please bring your own snacks. In an effort to keep clinic prices low, a light breakfast is provided, with lunch available at an additional $10 a day.

 

 

Dates: March 23, 24, 25, 2024 **Must reserve a spot, limited to 10 riders.

-True West Horsemanship Clinic

The True Horsemanship crew will be holding a clinic at Summerville Stables! Read about some details of the clinic below:

"3 Day Horsemanship Clinic – Suits Ridden Horses at Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Horsemanship Levels...

​

Clinic format: will have participants split into 2 small groups of riders with a max of 6 in each group. The focus will be on feel, communication, leadership and progressing on the horse/rider relationship. Each group will have a practical 1.5hr session with their horse in morning and afternoon. A huge benefit of these clinics is you get a shorter session with more 1-on-1 time with Ben to really concentrate on personal progress. You then have the bonus to have a soaking/breathing time while spectating the other group’s sessions – learning from a huge range or situations which you can then apply to your horsemanship journey as well.

  • Cost for 5 Day Camp: 9:00-5:00 ~ $595 / 9:00-3:00 ~ $545

  • Cost for 5 Day ½ Day Camp: 9:00-12:00 ~ $295 / 2:00-5:00 ~ $295

  • Cost for Single Day: 9:00-5:00 ~ $145 / 9:00-3:00 ~ $125 / 9:00-12:00 ~ $75 / 2:00-5:00 ~ $75

 

Summerville Stables is inviting all horse-loving kids ages 6 and up to join us this Summer for our weeklong horseback riding camp! We will enjoy daily morning and afternoon riding sessions with instruction in Western and English riding, indoor and outdoor arena riding, groundwork, obstacles, mounted games, driving, jumping, cattle sorting, and relaxing trails or ideas through the woods! Learn horse care and have fun with horse crafts, games, go-carts, and much, much more!!! Bring your own kid-safe horse or ride one of our gentle, safe, experienced lesson horses or ponies! No experience is necessary; beginners are welcome, and something for all skill levels! Bring a sack lunch M-Th, and a barbecue lunch provided Friday. Bring a swimsuit, towel, boots, and a smile!

Space is limited to 12 riders per session. Pre-registration is required. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your child’s spot. Payment in full is due no later than the first day of camp. A signed liability release must be on file for each rider.

Completed forms and deposits can be dropped off or mailed to 66967 Hunter Rd, Summerville, OR 97876 or forms can be texted or emailed and deposit sent through Venmo at Tracy-Reed-80 with Session # listed.

Our PUMPKIN PATCH is back!!! Mark your calendars!

$12/person online $15 at the gate (under 2 yrs old free)

All activities (hay rides, petting zoo, horse & pony rides, live music, etc.) are included in the entry fee, food trucks and pumpkins are extra! There will be family photo sessions available on some days that will also be extra. 

*Pumpkins & Gourds available for purchase (at additional cost ranging from $3 - $8)
